Northern Irelands First AstroTurf RC Track

So here is whats going on at the moment with our full astro track, we have finished the small part of drainage work that had to be carried out as most of the ground was solid and we are almost finished with the leveling of the surface.

Most of the astro has been layed which was realy hard work with NIMCC not being a realy big club the work had to be done in drips and drabs and when people could attent work parties at the same time fighting the weather elements.

We tried to work with the astro in large strips to minimize cutting and patching which was no mean feet with the astroturf being very damp and full of sand it dident make things easy thx to andys trusty work lorry with crane which struggled with some rolls but we got there in the end, i think in all we must have layed between 16 and 20 rolls out.

So keep your eyes on the website for future updates and follow the progress of our track we hope to be running races on it around the first quarter of 2010.
